Dwight Digest

Dwight is adjusting quite well to being in my space. He gets all kinds of attention and I am certain he is loving it. (Mostly because I send my daughter photos and she tells me how happy he looks.)

We listen to audiobooks, podcasts, and watch tv. He loves watching tv. We're working on acclimating him to being free to run around now and then on weekends. Currently, he will go straight to a wall and look for spots to hide.

I tried buying him one of those indoor pet enclosures for small furry pets, and he tried to climb the mesh. Much safer just letting him explore.

I talk to him just like I did to King Floof. I let him know when I'll be home and where I'm going. It's weird. Not like he can do anything if I go missing, but still, at least he'll know I didn't abandon him.

Writing Updates

October is Plotober and I'm slooooowly easing back into things. I refuse to take on any new projects outside of my writing. I have been dealing with focusing on my own needs and desires again, so… yeah. It's time for me to be super selfish.

I owe my Patrons and Ream subscribers some stories. I haven't been posting or writing (other than the occasional blog post and the novella) for quite some time.

I'll be working on Bound by Beau. I know people who are salivating for me to get on with their flirty slow burn romance.

Also, I know some readers were a little irked with me, even when their imagination took over, when I cut off the super short stories about Annie and Ethan on my blog.

Great news! Annie and Ethan are part of the Revelry Island side characters and will be getting their own serial story and/or novella.

You can thank a Reddit User for posting a long drawn out saucy as fuck post begging, pleading, praying, and basically offering up themself as a sacrifice to get a married couple who enjoy sexual tension like it's an extreme sport.

Annie and Ethan are high school sweethearts who went to separate colleges, dated other people, who continued to experience the spark between them turning into an uncontrollable inferno whenever they were together.

They're married with two… Or three kids (I originally gave them 3, made them in Sims with 2, then Annie got pregnant - because even their Sim versions can't keep their hands off each other! So we shall see.)

They hit a rough patch for a couple of months one summer which led them to a serious conversation about priorities and now they're spicing up their lives every day.

Annie works at Pages and Pours Cafe (featured in Stumbling Toward Serenity) and Ethan works for Evan at Wright Landscaping (company name in progress) aka Maintenance Men (title prone to change as I write these books).

So yeah. I have plots and characters. I just need to do the writing.

I know there are married couples out there in real life who show each other every day how much they love each other in different ways. If you want to see something your partner does that just… makes you squee and your toes curl, hit me up. I'm happy to include it.

What I'm Watching and Reading

Well. If you know me, you know I can't get enough of Jensen Ackles and I feel like he is purposely appearing in shows I'm watching so I get my fix.

No, I'm not joking!

I started watching Big Sky, then stopped because wow it's a lot. Then found out he was joining the show. So I was like okay, I hear you. And watched it. Worth it!

Then, I was watching The Boys because other Supernatural actors were there and it's Eric Kripke AND who can resist Karl Urban using the C word most people hate? Not me.

Then… boom. Jensen joins the cast.

And, last but certainly not least, I start watching Tracker because who doesn't love Justin Hartley? And the next thing I know… Jensen is joining the show.

Still shocked my tv didn't melt with these two hot af men on the screen.

I enjoyed Tracker so much I'm reading the books by Jeffrey Deaver. They're different but in a good way. I really like the show and the changes they made for it as well.

As far as I'm concerned, Jensen can stalk me in real life. I'd be fine with it. Joining the shows I watch makes it fun to see what Supernatural easter eggs he'll definitely drop.

I wish someone had picked up The Winchesters. I wanted to see John and Mary fall in love.

Personal Life Shenanigans

My grandbaby is six, yes six!! months old now. I swear this baby is the happiest baby I've ever seen. My daughter was a happy baby, but this child… wow. It's amazing.

And when I enter the room? Ugh. This kid. Lights up like I'm the best thing that just happened. It's heartwarming getting squishy snuggles and big smiles.

We like to read books and watch the intro to Bluey and we enjoy Ms. Rachel. We also like to dance and play peekaboo.

This kid is trying so hard to get crawling. Daycare has declared Squish is their favorite and that whatever it is mom and dad are doing, keep it up.

So, between the day job and wanting to spend time with Squish, and trying to make sure I'm taking care of myself, it's been crazy busy.

I finally had a deep tissue massage last week and scheduled another one for the end of this month. I plan to keep going every month for as long as I can. The tension doesn't leave my neck and shoulders and it's making me crazy.

I also need to get back to doing yoga. Yep, I stopped again. But that's okay. I know I can move back into it and just keep doing the same video until I'm ready to move to the next.

Yes, you can keep following the same video. I actually recommend it if you haven't been actively doing yoga. Sometimes, trying to do a 30 day set in 30 days is too much. If I can work with one video for a week or so, then I'll feel better moving to the next.

Cards of Passion Happenings

We had a lovely chat on Twitter… aka X with Rachel of Bad Redhead Media on October 2nd. You might enjoy hearing what Leonora, Henrietta, and Kaitlin had to say.

I say we, but due to glitches or TwitterX disliking me because I've pretty much abandoned the platform, no one could see me in the room.

Regardless, it was better that way because the newly minted authors were the center of attention. As it should be!

We still have two more books coming out. Book Six from Danika Bloom and Book Nine from F. Leonora Solomon.

Yes, the entire series is almost out. It's so exciting! We've experienced some crazy turbulence getting these books out, so please do take a look at them.
